In n collaboration with the award-winning Milanese studio Meneghello Paolelli, we present two sculptural table legs called Neck. “Our starting point was the bistro table, which has clearly defined ergonomic limits. The challenge was to find a distinctive detail within these parameters”, say Sandro and Marco. Neck is a versatile, neutral collection designed for any space, especially contract and outdoor contexts. “These had to be pieces with standard sizes that offered flexibility of use. Neck’s personality lies in its base, which gives the piece a distinctive touch, but in a discreet and subtle way, as it is very compact with a perfectly studied diameterfrom an ergonomic and visual point of view”. Three different materials interact in its design: the base is made from concrete, the body from powder-painted aluminum and the surface can be teak, HPL or porcelain. “Its most innovative feature is the point where the aluminum and concrete meet halfway up the leg, creating a discontinuity of textures within a formal sequence, from a smooth, colored surface to a porous, rough one”, they explain. Both legs can be customized in terms of color -with a choice of mineral white or anthracite gray -and surface shape- round or square.
